The upcoming Color Run in Abu Dhabi has been given a boost by the announcement of three new sponsors.

Mini, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld, have all signed up as official sponsors for the “Happiest 5k on the Planet”.

The trio’s support is a boost for the Color Run, which is being held in the Abu Dhabi for the first time ever.

The event also marks the first time in the history that the Color Run has been hosted by a Formula One track.

The iconic car brand, Mini, has come on board as the ‘Official Wheels’ of the event, which will see thousands of enthusiasts enjoying the spectacular surrounds of Yas Marina Circuit.

In the lead up to event, fans will have the opportunity to win a Mini for the weekend if they spot one of the three branded cars driving around key Abu Dhabi locations and send a picture to Mini’s social media channels.

Color Runners will also have the chance to win a Mini for the weekend on the day by taking the ‘craziest photo’ at the Mini photo booth.

After a morning of being doused from head to toe in color on the five kilometre course, followed by the color-throwing extravaganza at the famous ‘Finish Festival’, Yas Waterworld is offering Color Runners the perfect remedy.

Partnering as the official water park of The Color Run, participants are invented to come and ‘wash off at Yas Waterworld’ with a special 50 percent discount.

Greg Sproule, Managing Director of IMG Middle East, said: “We are thrilled to welcome MINI, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld as our official sponsors, further underlining the positioning of this event in the UAE.”

Participants can sign up for The Color Run in Abu Dhabi at www.thecolorrun.ae/abu-dhabi.

Entries will close at 5pm on Thursday March 27, 2014, however organizers warn that the event may sell out prior to this date.

Entries to the event on Saturday March 29 cost AED 140 and include a Gift Pack, an event t-shirt, sweatband and color pack. In keeping with The Color Run’s plan of giving back to the community, $1 from every registration will be donated to charity through Just Giving.
