Fohood Jumeirah were hardly troubled as they trounced Al Ain Youth 15-2 in futsal competition at the fourth Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Ramadan Sports Tournament.

Also winning at the NAS Sports Complex were Al Habtoor, Desert and Fohood Zabeel. Desert stunned Studio Zabeel 8-5, while Fohood Zabeel and Al Habtoor held on for narrow 4-3 and 3-2 wins against gutsy Al Theyaba and Tornado-4 teams respectively.

Making the difference for Fohood Zabeel and Al Habtoor were former Fifa Futsal Golden Ball winners Dovenir Domingues De Paiva (Neto) and Ricardinho.

In the padel competition, the action reached the semi-final stages with Mohammed Al Mansouri and Mohammed Ahli booking the fourth and final spot in the last four stage of the UAE Nationals competition with a comfortable 6-0, 6-3 win over Ali Al Qaiwani and Zayed Abbas.

Al Mansouri and Ahli will now meet second seeds Saeed Al Marri and Hassan Sharif Al Marzouqi in the second semi-finals, while top seeds Majid Bushagar and last year’s champion Mohammed Al Janahi will take on Ahmed Hussain and Abdullah Ahli.
