Few players, if any, in NFL history can do what Rob Gronkowski does, ranking already among the greats just six seasons into his career. The man they call ‘Gronk’ stands at 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds, which combined with his speed and gracefulness, makes him a matchup nightmare.

Despite turning 27 today, the New England Patriots star already holds a number of league records, including the most touchdowns and receiving yards for someone at his position in a season with 17 and 1,327, respectively.

His 65 career touchdowns are only bettered by two tight ends in history and he’s also considered one of the best blockers at the position.

Off the field, he is known for his fun loving antics and was announced as the NFL star to feature on the cover of the new Madden 17 video game.

Other sports stars celebrating their birthday’s today include:

1973: Julian White, Former England rugby union prop, who also played nearly 100 caps for the Leicester Tigers (43).

1979: Urijah Faber, American MMA fighter and winner of the bantamweight in the UFC (37).

1979: Clinton Morrison, Former Crystal Palace, Birmingham and Republic of Ireland striker (37).

1983: Tatenda Taibu, Zimbabwean cricketer who became the youngest Test captain in history in 2004 (33).

1984: Gary Ablett Jr, Australian rules football player and current captain of the Gold Coast Football Club (32).
