A harbinger that the excitement of live racing is right around the corner in Dubai.

The Racing in Dubai September 2018 Sale will be held by the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) on Thursday, September 20, 2018, at 17:00 within the Saddling Enclosure of Meydan Racecourse.

Viewing of the 44 lots of racing age will take place September 18 and 19, from 07:30-09:00 and 16:00-17:30 on each day, at Meydan Quarantine (NOFA Stables).

Past graduates of the Racing in Dubai Sales include 2018 Dubai World Cup Carnival winners Raven’s Corner, Janszoon and Drafted; the first two of whom went on to compete on Dubai World Cup night just five months ago.

The 2019 Dubai World Cup Carnival, as previously released, has received a 12 percent purse boost, while the Dubai World Cup meeting (March 30, 2019) is now worth a record US $35 million.

Sparkling pedigrees will be up for acquisition, including Lindberg, a lightly raced, winning sibling to Grade 3 winner Imperia and son of Medaglia d’Oro and Chilean Horse of the Year Cocoa Beach, as well as Flag Festival, a winning son of New Approach and multiple classic-winning Blue Bunting.

A pair of winning, in-tact sophomore sons of world-class sire Dubawi, Hipster Boy and George Villiers, also highlight the sale alongside proven commodities like multiple winners Brave Hero, Pouvoir Magique and Ode to Autumn.

Other global star stallions with progeny in the sale include Bernardini, Exceed and Excel, Shamardal, Elusive Quality, Cape Cross, Redoute’s Choice and Distorted Humor.

Prospective purchasers can view the full list of 44 lots and obtain further information via the Emirates Racing Authority website, www.emiratesracing.com, or register for the sale by contacting Syed Ashraf on syed.ashraf@dubairacingclub.com
