A series of roadshows are to take place throughout Abu Dhabi in March and April as the Emirate prepares to host the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship.

The roadshows, organised by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, will provide the public with the chance to learn more about the sport ahead of the Championship in April.

Al Wahda Mall, Marina Mall and Abu Dhabi Corniche East Plaza are hosting the events, with demonstrations from coaches and the official UAE Jiu-Jistu mascot, Azzam.

International champions are due in Abu Dhabi for the Championship at the FGB Arena, Zayed Sports City, from April 15 to 19.

The UAE’s Jiu-Jitsu Federation, who are partnered by the International Petroleum Investment Company, are hoping the roadshows will add to the excitement ahead of the competition.

The roadshows will also give the public a chance to win a number of fantastic prizes ahead of the Championship thanks to an all-new ‘spotted #WithAzzam’ photo competition.

Exclusive meet and greet opportunities and merchandise will be up for grabs for those who get their pictures taken with the official mascot.

To take part fans just need to submit their images on any of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship social media channels (Facebook, Twitter or Instagram) and include the hashtag ‘#WithAzzam’.
