Habtoor Polo and Zedan emerged as the two winners on the opening day of the Dubai Cup.

Habtoor Al Habtoor’s team defeated Mahra by 5 goals to 4.5 in a defence-oriented game.

A great third chukker saw the victors eventually pull away and show their class to defend a slender lead right until the end.

In the second match of the day Zedan defeated DPEC Team by 9 goals to 6.5.

After a very even match the deadlock was broken by patron Amr Zedan’s men and DPEC simply had no more to give as their opposition pulled away.

Zedan: 2-2.5/ 7-2.5/ 7-3.5/ 9-6.5

The Dubai Cup continues next Monday when Zedan take on F4Z Polo team at 3pm.
