Glory 20 Dubai, a premier kickboxing league, will make its Middle East debut on Friday, April 3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre where the UAE’s Eisa Al Dah will also step into the ring.

To be hosted by EMD Promotions, the event consists of a Lightweight World Title fight as the main card.

Scott Rudmann, co-founder of Glory, said: “It’s on in 150 countries around the world – showcasing Dubai as a sporting city. We are very proud of that.”

The main event has been hailed as “one of the most important fights in the whole world of kickboxing right now” by Rudmann.

Robin van Roosmalen will defend the Lightweight belt against Andy Ristie. The last time the two met, Ristie walked away the winner.

Tunisian veteran Mourad ‘The Silent Power’ Bouzidi has promised to deliver a ‘knock-out’ when he faces ex-UFC fighter Pat Barry.

UAE star Al Dah will fight in front of his home crowd in the finale, three years since his last bout.

“I would like to thank Glory for giving me this opportunity to return after three years,” the 36-year-old said.

“People ask, am I ready for the fight? I am more than ready. I will be in the best shape possible.

Al Dah, founder of EMD Promotions, added: “EMD Promotions is proud to be able to help in bringing Glory’s exciting brand of kickboxing to Dubai. We hope this is the first of many trips to the Middle East for the promoters.”
