UAE’s Mohamed Hammadi was satisfied with his four-medal haul at the IPC World Championships, which he wrapped up in Doha with silver in the 200m T34.
Hammadi enjoyed a successful 10 days in the Qatari capital where he also won silver in the 100m (set a new Asian record) and 800m and bronze in the 400m.
He was the only Emirati to win a medal amongst a 18-strong team.

The 27-year-old clocked 27.82 seconds in the 200m to once again finish second behind the invincible Walid Ktila, whose 27.44 was a new championship record and gave the Tunisian a fourth gold in as many events he contested.
“It was a great race and it is always good to compete against Walid,” said Hammadi, who was upstaged by the Tunisian in all four distances. “Despite my outdated chair I still managed to win four medals, which is a good omen for the Rio Olympics next year.”
Ktila, the most successful athlete of the championships, recorded a rare double-quadruple, as he repeated his winning performance from two years ago with victories over 100m, 200m, 400m and 800m.
“Every new race is always an exciting new experience, I never get bored of competing. When I came here I was looking for four gold medals and I have succeeded in this. I am excited to hear the national anthem of Tunisia again,” said the 30-year-old North African.
Other action on the final day saw UAE’s Abdullah Hayayei recorded a personal best 27.55m to place fifth in the F34 discus final.
