TRISCHA ZORN

The American swimmer’s tally of 41 golds and 55 total medals is more than double anyone else has achieved.

She did this from 1980-2005.

BEATRICE HESS

Another consummate swimmer, who swept up 20 golds and five silvers from 1984-2004.

She was nickanmed the ‘French Thorpedo’.

MICHAEL EDGSON

The Canadian is the most-successful male Paralympian, claiming 18 golds and three silvers from 1984-92.

Is visually-impaired, so was in B3.

JONAS JACOBSSON

The Swedish shooter has 30 total medals, containing 17 golds.

He participated in nine-consecutive Games from 1980 to 2012.

ROBERTO MARSON

The Italian athlete and fencer claimed 16 golds and nine other medals from 1964-76.

Lost use of his legs when chopping down a tree.
