The first Dubai Desert Road Run of 2014 is set to take place on the traffic free roads of the Sevens Stadium this coming Saturday 18 January.

The run consists of a 10km road race followed by a 3km open fun run, that welcomes both experienced and novice runners.

After the massive success of the October and December races, which attracted a huge number of strong runners, this year is expected to be even better – especially with cool weather conditions that will provide an enjoyable environment for all runners.

Taking place several times a year, The Dubai Desert Road run allows you to follow your progress throughout the year, keep track of your improvements and socialise with fellow runners.

Plus if getting up in the morning for the 7am race start is a problem, then you could also choose the 3pm start for the 10km and 3km run that takes place this Friday.

The 10km race also offers several age categories, so whether you are a still in your teens or comfortably in your retirement then you can still get involved.

Furthermore, all runners who finish the race receive a medal, and the first three male and female finishers in the 10km race from each category receive a trophy – as do the first three male and female finishers of the 3 km race.

To register for the race please visit www.premieronline.com and for further information of activities and events taking place at The Sevens go to www.thesevens.ae or call us on 04 8096605 or email us on sports.events@thesevens.ae
