  • The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has listed Victory Team throttleman Nadir Bin Hendi’s appeal against his two-year ban by the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM), the world governing body for powerboating, for September 5.

The Emirati four-time world powerboating champion, who has served nine months of the ban which came into effect on November 21, 2011, will be present in person at the hearing along with his US-based lawyer Howard Jacobs.

Bin Hendi tested positive for the banned substance Methylhexaneamine, but said the drug could have been produced by his body as a result of using a nasal decongestant, Xylo-Comod.

A spokesman for him said: “We have presented the CAS with all relevant documents in our defence and are hoping for a favourable ruling.”
