The world of cricket bade an emotional goodbye to Phillip Hughes as around 5,000 mourners gathered to remember the former Test batsman at his funeral in his home town of Macksville in New South Wales

The 25-year-old cricketer was struck on the head by a short delivery while playing for South Australia against New South Wales during a Sheffield Shield match at the Sydney Cricket Ground on 25 November last year.

He died in hospital two days later.

2005: England lost by an innings and 100 runs to Pakistan in Lahore, going 2-0 down in their first Test series after the summer's surprise Ashes win.

2007: Muttiah Muralitharan claimed a then world record 709th Test wicket by bowling Paul Collingwood in the first Test against England at Kandy.
