Australia spinner Shane Warne equalled the record for most wickets in Test cricket by claiming his 532nd scalp in the second Test against India.

Playing in his 114th Test, Warne, by claiming Yuvraj Singh’s wicket, drew level with Muttiah Muralitharan. A few days later he became the first bowler in Test history to claim 300 wickets (62 Tests) on foreign soil.

The leg-spinner ended his Test career with 708 wickets, however, his great friend and rival Muralitharan would have the last laugh.

He played on three years longer than Warne and ended up with a record mark of 800 Test wickets which is hard to see being beaten any time soon, if ever.
