The Dubai Dash, the first corporate relay running race will be held on December 9 and although it’s less than four months away, you can take advantage of the early bird discount offer.

On race day at 16:30 at Dubai Sports City, individuals will run a 1.5km leg around the state-of-the-art facility complex with each team covering a total distance of 15km.

With the event limited to 600 individuals, organisers are encouraging not to miss out on this great opportunity where companies can foster teamwork and promote an active lifestyle by building corporate teams and competing against each other.

Ten people are needed to form a team. The early bird discount offer ends on August 31 and those who register before that date will be charged Dh3,495 per team.

Entry fee from September 1 onw-ards is Dh4,195 per team.

Included in the entry fee is an invitation to participate in training sessions ahead of the race, a T-shirt and medal, admission to the After Party in the athletes’ village, complimentary food and drink plus the opportunity to win some great prizes. Additionally, it will also provide individuals the chance to network and share their experiences.

Organised by HYPE and INTERACT, the Dubai Dash is the first of its kind in the UAE with Dubai Sports Council also supporting the event.

Richard Arrowsmith, co-organiser of Dubai Dash, which has also partnered with Dubai Sports City and Fit Republik, is excited it is making its debut in December.

“The event is a short distance team race, which is accessible to all whether you are a seasoned runner or a sporting newbie,” he said.

“Some of the largest multi-national corporations in the UAE as well as international companies will take part in this unique event, proving popular as a corporate wellness and team building activity”.
