One of Dubai’s most anticipated tests of fitness is coming back for a fourth year. The Dubai Fitness Championship has just announced its 2015 dates, so here are some preliminary details to get you warmed up!

Similar to last year, this year’s event will take place over two long weekends. The date for qualifying will be Thursday, December 3 from 7am until evening, and those that qualify will continue to the next stages which will take place on Friday 4 and Saturday December 5, and the following weekend on December 11, 12 and 13.

The last day, Saturday December 13, will act as the competition’s finals.

If it’s anything like last year, the competition will go something like this: as a result of the qualifying day, a predetermined number of Male and Female athletes will qualify to the next stage (last year it was 120 males and females). After each ‘stage’ or day of competition, the best performing athletes will make it to the next round, with the top male and female athletes battling it out in the finale on Saturday, December 12.

While the event initially started as a competition to find the fittest male and female UAE resident, in subsequent years it opened its proverbial doors to competitors outside of the UAE, most recently inviting popular CrossFit athletes to take part in the competition. The event is now open for anyone to enter from any country.
