1954: MARIO KEMPES, was a prolific goalscorer throughout his career, netting more than 300 goals in a little more than 500 games. He is remembered best for scoring two goals in the 1978 World Cup final as Argentina beat the Netherlands to win the tournament on home soil.

1968: SHIRLEY ROBERTSON, Scottish sailor who won successive gold medals at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Games (47).

1979: ALEXANDER FREI, Swiss former Borussia Dortmund and Basel striker. Scored 42 goals in 86 caps for Switzerland (36).

1986: TYLER KENNEDY, Canadian ice hockey player who won NHL’s Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009 (29).

1990: DAMIAN LILLARD, Portland Trail Blazers point guard. Lillard won the 2013 Rookie of the Year in his debut season (25).
