Results from opening week of Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship fixtures

The Lebanese Expats Basketball Championship kicked off this week in the UAE under the supervision of the Dubai Sports Council and UAE Basketball Federation.

Eight teams, Beirut, Saida, Byblos, Zahle, Tyre, Jounieh, Baalbek and Tripoli are competing in the competition, which is taking place in the UAE for the first time ever.

An exciting week of games saw Tripoli team grab the win over Tyre with Hady Saleh being awarded the most valuable player of the game.

Beirut were victorious over Baalbek, inspired by a heroic performance by match MVP Kevin Fadoul. In the third game of the opening round of fixtures, Byblos defeated Jounieh thanks to a great display by MVP Will Bechara. The final game of the opening stages saw Zahle recorded a win record over Saida with Michel Hakim claiming the MVP accolade.

All MVPs won a 200 AED Decathlon voucher, which was presented by the following: President of Jam Sports Academy Mr. Ahmad Sleiman, Manager of the Lebanese Community in the UAE social media page Mr. Firas Abu Hassan, Owner of Project Rent a Car Mr. Elias Khairallah and Manager of Al Meshwar Restaurant Mr. Bayan Bou Kheir.
