The popular Ramadan NAS Night Challenge is back on May 9 and 16 as part of this year’s NAS Sports Tournament.

The Challenge is a community-based 4km obstacle course, and you can take part either on your own or as part of a team.

Held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, the first NAS Night Challenge took place during Ramadan 2017 and saw more than 2,000 participants from over 15 countries across the globe in three different categories.

The event is now in its third year with more prize money than ever before, with the male, female and team professional heats being in with a shout of winning part of the AED144,000 prize money.

H.E. Saeed Al Hareb, Secretary General of Dubai Sports Council, said: “The Dubai Sports Council is happy to be working once again with the team from Warrior Events in supporting them with this year’s NAS Night Challenge.

“As always, we are committed to encouraging people from across the city to get active and NAS Night Challenge is a fantastic opportunity for them do so.”

The course is spread out next to the NAS Sports Complex, Nad Al Sheba, and the Challenge is expected to attract over 2,000 athletes and visitors over the two days.

Participants will have 12 fun and challenging obstacles to cover throughout the 4km race including the Siege, Vine Swing, Warped Wall, Balance Beam, Rope Ladders, Black Hole and The Chimney.

Participants over the age of 16 can choose from the following categories: Male Individual, Female Individual, 4km Open Individual, Male Team, Female Team, Mixed Team and 4km Team Individual.

All categories are open to UAE nationals, residents and participants from outside the country and all participants are eligible for the podium placings and prizes.
