Competition for the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is getting fierce with over 95 companies already confirmed for the event at Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) on Wednesday, 13 February.

Organisers of the event are expecting a sell-out for the first time with only a couple weeks to go and now is the last chance for businesses to fill those spots.

Each team is comprised of ten runners and the team with the fastest cumulative time for ten one-mile (1.6km) laps along the iconic DIFC Gate Building will be crowned champions.

Companies such as Barclays, Emirates Investment Authority, J.P.Morgan and Mastercard amongst many others, are getting ready to contest for that prestigious title of ‘fastest firm in the city’ and for the first time ever, participants will run along Gate Avenue, the new retail and fashion experience which also connects all buildings within DIFC.

In a bid to boost female participation across the series, organisers will be awarding the ‘Fastest All Female Team’ with the first award being made in Dubai next month. This is the perfect opportunity for female colleagues to get together and be recognised for their hard work on the course.

Designed to promote team building, a healthy work-life balance and bonding between colleagues, businesses still looking to take part in this unique event can do so by visiting www.squaremilerelay.com/dubai, and 25% of the entry free will be donated to long-standing charity partner, Emirates Red Crescent as part of the event’s Extra Mile initiative.
