The Sharjah International Show Jumping Championship kicks-off today with special attractions running until Saturday at the Sharjah Equestrian & Racing Club.

Held under the supervision of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation (UAEERF), the three-day event will feature CSI3-star competitions for riders tackling jumps ranging from 125cm to 150cm high. There is also a special attraction in the Six Bar Competition class where riders will have to jump six fences in a row, each one higher than the last finishing with a fence that’s 170cm high. The other half of the competitions will be dedicated to young horses between 6-7 years old (CSIYH1-star); young riders (CSIOY); junior riders (CSIOJ); and children (CSIOCH).

There’s plenty going on around the show jumping helping the event appeal to more than just equestrian enthusiasts. Visitors will find an all-inclusive food court and an exhibition of the latest horse equipment and accessories to free pony rides and a fun corner for the kids as well.
