Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois failed to report for training on Monday as doubts over his future at Stamford Bridge intensified.

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will up the ante to complete a deal for the 26-year-old this week.

Months of speculation have come to an end after UAE superstar Omar Abdulrahman secured a momentous season-long loan to Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal and simultaneously agreed a three-year contract extension at Al Ain, dashing hope of a historic European switch.

Pace ace: Jasprit Bumrah.

As India fell to a narrow 31-run defeat in the first Test against England, they must have wondered what could have been had they had the services of pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah.

And ahead of the the second match at Lord’s beginning on Thursday, the Men in Blue are hoping the latter will be fit for selection given he has reportedly been stepping up his recovery from injury in the nets.
