The man who is credited with transforming the way football is played in England by introducing revolutionary changes in training and diet of players.

Wenger, who turns 67 today, has been the manager of Arsenal since 1996, becoming the club’s longest-serving manager and a legend.

Wenger obtained a manager’s diploma in 1981 and after an unsuccessful period at Nancy, joined Monaco. A few more moves across the globe later, Wenger arrived at Arsenal in 1996.

Within two years, Arsenal completed a league and FA Cup double. In 2004, Wenger led the Gunners to an undefeated league season.

The club made its first appearance in a Champions League final in 2006, losing to Barcelona. Arsenal reloacted to the Emirates Stadium and after nine years without a trophy, tasted FA Cup success in 2014 and 2015.
