In 2010, Sri Lanka spinner Muttiah Muralitharan marked his farewell appearance by becoming the first bowler in history to take 800 Test wickets.

The then 28 year-old, dismissed India’s Pragyan Ojha to claim his eighth scalp of the match. Ojha was caught at slip by Mahela Jayawardene to terminate India’s second innings after lunch on the final day of the first Test at the Galle International Stadium.

In a fitting end to a phenomenal career, Sri Lanka won the Test by 10 wickets.
