VIDEO: Skydive Dubai’s Al Neyadi lands on Burj Al Arab Helipad

21:23 12/12/2013

The Burj Al Arab hotel in Dubai is one of the most iconic buildings in the world. It is the only seven-star hotel on the planet and is the accomodation of choice for the rich and powerful.

As well as its global reputation as a hotel, the Burj Al Arab's helipad is also building a name for itself – hosting various impressive PR stunts that leave viewers amazed.

In the past, the helipad has been transformed into a driving range as golf superstar Tiger Woods hit golf balls from it to promote the Omega Dubai Desert Classic. It has been turned into a tennis court when Roger Federer and Andre Agassi enjoyed a knockabout ahead of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championship.

It was even used recently by Formula One world champions Red Bull as former racing driver David Coulthard produced wheel spins and donuts on it.

But the latest exercise to take place on the helipad is arugably the most impressive of them all.

To promote the ongoing 4th Dubai International Parachuting Championships, Skydive Dubai's H.E. Nasser Al Neyadi became the first skydiver to attempt and successfully land a jump on the helipad.

The stunning footage of Al Neyadi's jump is captured from the plane and a GoPro camera attached to his helmet, which fully shows his approach and landing in detail.

And you can watch Al Neyadi's jump right here:
