Drifting fans will want to head to the Dubai Global Village on Sunday evening where they could even find themselves in the passenger seat as Nissan Middle East officially launches the Nissan 370Z Drift Experience.
– #Quiz360: WIN a six-month Target Gym membership
Open to the public free of charge, there will be various activities to keep you busy during the event such as driving funcarts and photo opportunities with the drifting drivers.
One lucky person will get a feel of drifting in a Nissan 370Z with a professional driver on the day but if you miss out on that then you can still have a chance to win vouchers for the experience at a later date.
Among the drivers who will be showcasing their drifting skills are Ahmad Daham and James Deane.
It was less than two weeks ago when Jordan’s Daham beat the top drifters from Egypt, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE to triumph at the Red Bull Car Park Drift Experience in Dubai.
And Deane has plenty of drifting experience. At the age of just 20, the Irishman has had 28 professional international podiums and five championship wins including the 2011 Drift Allstars European title.
Samir Cherfan, managing director of Nissan Middle East said it’s an evening that motoring fans wouldn’t want to miss.
He said: “This event offers our guests a chance of being part of the unique ‘Nissan 370Z ProDrift Experience’.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone and living a special moment together.”
Nissan Middle East hope fans will be inspired with what they see. Last month, the motoring company signed an agreement with ProDrift Academy for the Nissan 370Z Drift Experience that will offer drivers to learn key drift techniques in the powerful vehicle.
Cherfan said: “Motorsport can be dangerous if it is outside of authorised premises and by launching the Nissan 370Z Drift Experience we want to provide a legal and entertaining platform for anyone who is interested in drifting.
“We are certain our flagship 370Z will leave the drifters with the best drift experience.”
