Lewis Hamilton won the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on Sunday in a Mercedes lock-out with the world champion’s teammate Nico Rosberg coming home in second.

– McLaren: Dennis hints at Magnussen loan move

This was Hamilton’s fourth win on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve and his fourth of the season but first since Bahrain after wins for Rosberg in Spain and Monaco last time out.

Pole-sitter Hamilton led from start to finish to extend his lead in the drivers’ standings over his German teammate after his 37th career victory.

Success also erased the painful memories of Monaco when a botched pit stop cost him what appeared to be a certain win.

In third came Valtteri Bottas in a Williams ahead of Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen.

The race proved disastrous for McLaren with both their cars driven by Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button failing to finish.
