Mercedes AMG F1 boss, Toto Wolff, has said that he is on the verge of extending his involvement with the German manufacture in Formula 1.

Wolff’s current contract as an executive director runs until the end of 2017 but the 45-year-old  Austrian sees no reason why his tenure at the helm of the world championship winning team should come to an end anytime soon.

“Working with the board is smooth, there are a lot of people that I learn from every day, which makes me really enjoy my work,” Wolff told Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

“So you can expect me to keep doing that for a while,” he added.

As a reminder, Wolff is also currently a 30% shareholder of the Mercedes Formula 1 team which he has managed since January 2013.
