Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg led the way in Friday’s open practice session while Lewis Hamilton ended up in fifth after loosing control and sliding into the barriers on the fourth lap of his run.

German Rosberg, who leads the drivers’ standings but has only won once in the past six races, was 0.595secs quicker than Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo in second.
