The traditional post-Valencia Grand Prix test, the two visits at Sepang and a test in Qatar have been put on the provisional 2014- 15 winter test calendar, whilst test days for Michelin tyres have also been provisionally scheduled.

The provisional calendar was agreed upon during a meeting of the International Road-Racing Teams Association (IRTA) Committee at Silverstone.

The first Grand Prix of 2015 will be in Qatar, in mid to late March. Accordingly, two possible dates have been included for the final MotoGP class test in Qatar, the actual date to be confirmed once the final calendar is published.

At each 2015 MotoGP class four-day test, one day will be reserved for Michelin testing, as the company prepare for their return to the championship as official tyre supplier in 2016.

The Michelin test at the first Sepang test and the Qatar test will be for factory test riders only, while the Michelin test at the second Sepang test will be open to all contracted riders.

Meanwhile, the MotoGP selection committee charged with reviewing applications from competitors also convened at Silverstone.

Applications were considered from teams representing 47 riders in the Moto3 class and 45 riders in the Moto2 class. The target entry total for both classes is 32 riders.

The selection committee agreed to provisionally confirm the participation of 33 teams who, between them, can provide the riders to meet the targeted entry.

These teams now have until Friday, September 26 to confirm the machines they will use, the final riders they will contract and to pay a security deposit to guarantee their eventual participation.
