Nike and Dubai Sports Council have extended the registration for the We Run Dubai race to midnight of December 12.

– #Quiz360: WIN a six-month Target Gym membership
– #WeRunDxb Diary: Running before you can walk
– Nike ‘We Run Series’ comes to Dubai

The run, which is part of the global Nike We Run Series hosted by 14 cities across Europe, Latin America, and Asia and ranging in distances from 7km to a full marathon, takes place on Friday, December 19 at 07:30 in Downtown Dubai.

Those wishing to train for race day can do so by joining Nike’s off and online running communities.

Everyone will receive a personalised training plan for the run through the ‘Coach’ feature on the Nike+ app.

Meant for runners across beginner, intermediate and advanced levels, the app allows members to receive a customised training plan with pre-planned running workouts, cross-training and recovery days. Nike+ can be downloaded for free from iTunes or Google Play.

Nike is holding a series for Dawn Runners in areas across Dubai to help the community get race ready. The Dawn Runners last run will kick off on December 12 from the Montgomerie at 05:00.

The final Dawn Runners will lead runners through Emirates Hills before sunrise, followed by a unique surprise and delight experience hosted by Nike. Individuals wishing to participate in the Dawn Runners series can register on the Dawn Runners registration page.
