The du Tough Mudder challenge returns to the UAE next month and with the help of Volvic and their brand ambassador Marcus Smith we’ve been giving you some top tips.

Step one was goal setting, followed by advice on what is the right nutrition and hydration with making sure to utilise the best stretches, to getting yourself in tip top shape.

Running will of course be a key element, but so will your determination, mental strength and team work as you tackle the du Tough Mudder challenge on December 8 and 9.

Naturally, there is going to be challenging times through any race, times when you want to give up and stop.

But remember where you started and all the hard work you put in to make the goal possible of getting over the finish line at Hamdan Sports Complex for du Tough Mudder.

There’s no point in making the sacrifice to compete if you are not going to give 100% to get the best out of yourself on race day.

Du Tough Mudder is all about team work so make you are thinking about others around you during the gruelling military style course.

So, check out Marcus’ handy hint above and don’t forget, for your chance to be a part of Marcus’ Volvic Army, all you have to do is upload a picture or video on social media of you completing a run and hashtag #FindYourVolcano.
