Three top tips to help you lose weight while exercising less

Regular exercise and eating a balanced diet is important to help you stay healthy.

But, there are several ways in which you can spend less time working out and at the same time trim your waistline too.

What do you make of our tips?

1) INCREASE THE INTENSITY OF YOUR SESSION

Don’t waste time in the gym on your phone or labouring around, focus on what you want to achieve from your session and exercise at a high intensity. Interval, cross-fit style training works your muscles harder over a shorter period of time – meaning you expend more energy and burn more calories. Mixing up your routine and exercises helps to keep your body engaged and active, rather than moderate exercise.

2. LIFTING WEIGHTS

Providing you are lifting with the correct technique, pumping iron can obviously increase your muscle mass – helping you burn more fat – even if you are lifting for just five to 10 minutes in total. This will help you feel more toned, lean and fit.

3. CUT DOWN YOUR SESSIONS AND REST IN-BETWEEN WORKOUTS

Fast-paced sessions at a higher intensity and less often will help build muscle quickly, and reduce fat. If you complete three to four sessions each week and rest in-between, your muscles have a chance to recover, repair and get bigger.
