Hamda Al Suwaidi reigns supreme in National Monthly Medal

Hamda Al Suwaidi was the overall Stableford champion in the first National Monthly Medal (NMM) of the 2015-2016 season which was hosted by the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) at The Track – Meydan.

As many as 32 Emirati nationals took part in the tournament but none could match the score of 40 points set by Al Suwaidi.

Rashid Al Suwaidi was the runner- up with 38 points, while Reema Al Heloo rounded up the podium when she won the third place following a countback with 37 points. The Best Gross Award went to Rashid Hamood, who shot a fourover- par 76, but that also came after a countback.

The event also had a Junior Division with six competitors. Reema Al Heloo was the runaway winner with her 37 points in the category with Mahmood Skaik second four points behind with 33 points.

The third place prize went to Mohammed Al Hajeri with 27 points. During the event, there were a number of on-course challenges.

Taking home the Adult Longest Drive prize was Saeed Al Mutawaa, while Ismael Sharif was the Nearest to the Pin in the same category.

The winner of the Junior Longest Drive was Mahmood Skaik while Al Heloo won the Junior Nearest to the Pin prize. At the award presentation, the EGF also recognised the upcoming 44th UAE National Day.

Given the busy schedule in December, with several international events and holidays, the next UAE National Monthly Medal will take place in January.
