Emirates Golf Federation open season with 1st National Monthly Medal event

In honour of the upcoming 44th United Arab Emirates National Day, the Emirates Golf Federation opened the 2015-2016 season by hosting a National Monthly Medal (NMM) at The Track, Meydan.

Hamda Al Suwaidi came out on top of the 32-player entry list, winning the event with a Stableford Score of 40 points while Rashid Al Suwaidi was runner-up with 38 points.

Rounding off the top was Reema Al Heloo, who finished on 37 points.

The Best Gross Award went to Rashid Hamood, who shot a 4-over-par 76 and with a front nine score of 40 and a back nine score of 36, Hamood also won on a back nine count back.  

The event also featured a Junior Division with six competitors, where Reeema Al Heloo came out on top with 37 points.

Mahmood Skaik finished as runner-up with 33 points while the third place prize went to Mohammed Al Hajeri with 27 points.

At the award presentation, the Federation took time out to recognize next month's 44th UAE National Day.

With a busy December ahead crammed full of international events and holidays, the next UAE National Monthly Medal will take place in January.
