#MEGAs14: A full list of this year’s winners

The Middle East Golf Awards (MEGAs) proves to be just as successful as its inaugural year with all the region’s top golfers, and the standout individuals in the golf industry being recognised and awarded.

Unlike last year, which was more about the golf courses and the behind-the-scene workers, the 2014 edition was focused on the players, with 15 new categories being introduced.

Here are all the winners: 

Best Young Arab Talent of the Year- Hamood al Harthy (Oman)

Best Young Expatriate Player of the Year- Eric Hartzuiker (UAE)

Best Female Amateur Player of the Year- Sana Tufail (UAE)

Best Male Amateur Player of the Year- Michael Harradine (UAE)

Best Arab Amateur Player of the Year- Ahmad Merjane (UAE)

F & B Team of the Year- Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club

Golf Marketing Team of the Year- Dubai Golf

Golf Course Maintenance Team of the Year- Abu Dhabi Golf Club

Best Teaching Professional of the Year- Justin Parsons (The Els Club)

Golf Director of the Year- Martin Duff (Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club)

General Manager/Club Manager of the Year- Christopher White  (Yas Links)

Best Professional Golf Event (Fan Experience)- DP World Tour Championship- 2013

Best Overall Club Experience (Player’s Choice)- Yas Links

The 2014 MEGAs was presented by Maserati and supported by Troon Golf, Victory Heights and National Bank of Oman.
