Another significant milestone in the continuing development of Jumeirah Golf Estates (JGE) was reached when three of the world’s greatest golfers joined Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, in officially opening the new state-of-the- art clubhouse.

– Rory McIlroy happy with the European Tour's points system

As the field began to assemble at JGE for the sixth edition of the DP World Tour Championship, Sheikh Ahmed cut the ceremonial ribbon to open the new clubhouse before meeting Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and JGE official brand ambassador Henrik Stenson.

The VIP party also included European Tour Chief Executive George O’Grady, Mohammed Al Shaibani, Director General of His Highness Ruler’s Court and CEO of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, along with board members of JGE.
