Emirates Golf Club has recently launched the region’s only Elite Junior programme for a handful of talented youngsters looking to make it big in the world of golf.

The Elite Juniors are a group of seven youngsters, ranging in age from 10 to 18 years and covering various nationalities including Indian, Spanish, Kenyan, British, Tawainese and Lebanese.

Led by Head Professional Stephen Deane, these young golfers are not only improving their technical game, but also gain valuable experience in competitive play.

The first of its kind in the UAE, the programme is providing a platform for these dedicated youngsters to move towards making golf a career choice.

Meeting four times per week, the programme includes supervised practice, golf-specific exercises, strokeplay and technical sessions.

“It is a pleasure to work with such a talented and dedicated group of young athletes and help them progress on a daily basis," said Deane. “The programme allows us to work on all aspects of their game and implement the building blocks to success.”

Dubai Golf also offer a Junior Development Programme suitable for children from four years old and of all levels of golfing ability.
