Former rugby internationals Tom Shanklin and John Bentley will be among the guests at OSN Rugby World Cup Lounge for this evening’s final and you can join them for what promises to be a thrilling affair.

Twickenham will be abuzz as New Zealand and Australia resume their rivalry with the Webb Ellis Cup up for grabs.

While the stadium is more than 3,000 miles away in London, you can watch the action unfold live at the venue, situated at the Emirates Ballroom, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel in Dubai.

Since the competition began last month, hundreds have descended at the venue, making it a vibrant atmosphere. And Saturday evening’s clash is set to be no different.

“The people who have come have really enjoyed the games,” said Carl Attah, bar manager of the OSN Rugby World Cup Lounge.

“The atmosphere has been amazing and we expect this to continue at the World Cup final. It’s a great place to be part of as there are a lot of people. And that in itself has given a really good atmosphere. We have a variety of dishes and beverages to choose from plus we provide fantastic service. So, all in all, people will not be disappointed.”

Defending champions New Zealand will be looking to become the first team to retain the title.

The All Blacks will start as favourites having lost just three of their last 53 games but will be wary of a dangerous Wallabies side. All Blacks captain Richie McCaw will extend his record for most caps to 148, while Drew Mitchell, with 14 already, is two tries away from becoming the World Cup’s top try-scorer.

There will be five massive TV screens, meaning wherever you sit, you will not miss that important try, incident or penalty, not to mention the winning celebrations by the triumphant team.

Giving their thoughts on the game will be Shanklin and Bentley. Shanklin made 70 appearances for Wales in his 10-year stint while Bentley represented England between 1988 and 1999. There will also be opportunities to get your pictures taken with the former rugby players.

“It’s the Rugby World Cup final between two great rugby sides, so it will be a great event,” Attah said. “They are two strong sides and everyone will want to see who wins the final.

“While the players put on a great show on the pitch, our guests can sit back, relax and enjoy the game and our service. It promises to be one not to be missed.”

Doors open at 17:00 ahead of the 20:00 start.
