Kids can get behind the wheel and take to the karting track during the school holidays thanks to Dubai Kartdrome’s Summer Camp.

In partnership with Gulf Star Sports, children aged between 7 and 15, can get fantastic driving tuition from the experts at Dubai Autodrome. As well as testing your driving skills in the kart, the camp will also include many opportunities to race against others, developing your knowledge and beat your best lap times as the week goes by.

On top of that, it isn’t all about go-karting. Kids can have a blast with laser tagging in the medieval maze, while there will be also plenty of activities to keep them busy with race room simulators, billiards tournaments, playstation alley and fun games.

Gulf Star and Dubai Kartdrome are no strangers to hosting summer camps with their previous editions proving hugely popular and 2018 looks set to be no different.

“Gulf Start have been organising this summer camp in partnership with Dubai Autodrome for the past five years and every time they have been successful,” said Matthew Ralton, senior operations manager at Gulf Star Sports.

“Children take part in the main activities which include go-karting, laser tagging and race simulators.  Children actually receive karting tuition from the highly skilled instructors at the Dubai Kartdrome and gradually improve their lap times as the sessions continue throughout the week.

“Additional activities include billiards, playstation alley, team games, quizzes, challenges and much more.  At the end of the week, children are rewarded throughout the week with certificates and medals for their achievements and their behaviour.”

Running in July and August, the camp timings are from 09:00 to 13:00 with 08:00 drop-off also available. With a few weeks to go until the camp begins, Ralton insists there are plenty of positives for parents to enroll their children.

“Camps are extremely popular and spaces are limited, so parents are encouraged to act fast to book their child spaces,” he said.

“The Dubai Kartdrome camp is one of the best camps in the UAE.  Kids arrive excited and leave each day with a sense of achievement and joy. Staff are well trained professionals who focus heavily on child well-being as well as providing the backdrop for an incredibly fun and high energy camp.”
