With less than two weeks to go until the big kick off, World Cup fever is starting to hit Dubai. We’re spoilt for choice with venues and fan zones popping up around the city, all screening the biggest sporting event of the year.

Partnering with Sport360, to show all the action from the tournament, is Wavebreaker Beach Bar and Grill who will be introducing a special Wavebreaker Beach Stadium this summer. Thankfully, with the World Cup taking place in Russia, the kick off times won’t have us during the early hours of the morning waiting for kick off. Plus, with no less than three games a day during the group stages it’s the perfect excuse to make a day of it.

Opening on the 14th June, in time for the Russia v Saudi Arabia opener, the purpose-built tent will be awash with football fans ahead of the first whistle.

We all know there’s nothing worse than turning up to a busy venue only to be stood so far form the screen you can’t see what’s going on. Well that won’t be an issue here as the three large screens and 12 TVs will ensure no matter how packed the place gets you’ll be able to see all the action. Plus, the venue is air-conditioned and strictly non-smoking so you won’t need to duck out for air halfway through.

If, like us, you’ll be watching every minute of every game, you’ll need a good meal to keep you going, and this place has you sorted. A World Cup offer of a beverage and a burger for AED150 also includes pool and beach access so there’s plenty of time to eat, drink and relax while you’re waiting for the next game to kick off. What’s more, if your sun lounger proves too comfortable to leave, the games are also being shown on smaller screens outside the tent as well.

Not a football fan? There’s good news for you too. Even when the tournament is over the Wavebreaker Beach Stadium will remain open for the rest of the summer giving those looking to escape the heat the perfect venue to socialise. And for those who are football fans… just days to go.
