The school holidays might well be underway but there’s still time for parents to enroll their children at Zayed Sports City (ZSC) Kids Holiday Camp.

Running until Thursday, April 5, it’s the perfect opportunity for the little ones aged between 5-12 to keep busy with ice skating, bowling, arts and crafts, outdoor group games and tennis being just some of the activities they can look forward to.

ZSC are no strangers to hosting holiday camps with their summer and Christmas editions proving hugely popular. Tony Kouris, general manager of Zayed Sports City, believes their on-going camp will be no different.

“The Zayed Sports City Kids Holiday Camp is growing each season and this is the biggest compliment we could expect to receive,” he said. “Our team puts in year-round efforts to find ways to improve the programming, to engage the kids better, and to ensure that they make memories lasting a lifetime each week. The feedback that we get is positive and we are open to suggestions, which is why we continue to have great success.”

He added: “The camp day starts with some free play while everyone arrives, with options like races, board games, and a reading corner before groups head off to their activities. Ice skating and bowling are the most popular, so we work these into the schedule as much as we can. There are also arts and crafts projects, painting, team-building challenges, tennis lessons with our ZSC Academy coaches, football, obstacle courses and more. Each group will participate in our water-based paintball game Wet ‘N Wild, and we’ve added in a nutrition session with Simple Café this session. There is really too much to list everything, and all of it is guaranteed to be engaging.”

Registration costs Dh1,050 per week, while it’s Dh945 a week for siblings.

With the camp still on-going, Kouris believes there’s plenty of reasons as to why parents should get their children registered.

“Zayed Sports City has worked very hard to ensure that our programming delivers high standards for our participants and their families, and ZSC Kids Holiday Camp fits the needs of parents in many ways,” he said. “We are the first and only camp that has more than nine hours of programming included in the price, and family discounts are available too. Not only is the cost and schedule a great value, but the kids have their physical, social, and psychological needs met daily, making new friends, trying new things and getting active. Overall it is a well-rounded experience for everyone and we are really proud to be putting it on every school break.”
