Taking place on Saturday, March 18, the grueling course will see you navigate your way round through dozens of obstacles including wired fences and sand bags at the foot of Al Ain’s Jebel Hafeet Mountains in Wadi Adventure.

Whether you’re trying it out for the first time or an experienced athlete, there are three different distances to choose from – 5km, 10km and 15km.

Entry numbers have already been encouraging but there’s still time to sign up before March 14’s deadline. Registration is also open until the day of the event but participants will not receive a chip timer.

“The combination of energy sapping heat, the dreaded tyre drag, running across turned over rafts and on unforgiving sand, is something you will never get to experience anywhere else but Wadi Adventure,” said Saif Al Blooshi, chief project officer of Tamouh Investments Group and general manager of Wadi Adventure.

“The event is an initiative in its own way to promote fitness and healthy lifestyle in the city of Al Ain. Our event is a great platform for the city’s fitness community to spend a day filled with excitement and test the true athletic ability- all under one roof.”

Even if you’re not competing in the race, you can still take advantage of the free admission offer up until 12:00pm and watch the action unfold.

Besides the duels, there is plenty of entertainment lined up with various fitness activities on a the agenda as well as the raffle draw.

“If people are looking forward to some fortified testing event, then the Wadi Adventure Race is the ultimate event, as it is set across the best ambiance that is required out of such obstacle races,” he said.

“In addition the obstacles and courses are for participants who wish to be warriors at the end of the event.”
