Ajman will be the sight of the next edition of the Desert Warrior Challenge, which has an even more challenge obstacle course lined up for the bravest of competitors.

Taking place on Friday, March 24, the adrenaline-pumping event will be held at a new location, Al Zorah Marina 1 in the emirate of Ajman.

Designed to bring our your inner warrior, the Desert Warrior Challenge consists of a course that will test your physical and mental toughness, as well as your overall fitness and team-work.

Since being founded in Dubai in 2014, the event has quickly become a popular fixture in the UAE sporting calendar, with last year’s race in Dubai attracting over 2,300 people.

The courses available in Ajman are the 5km Fearless for ages 16 and over, as well as two Junior courses – the 1km for ages six to nine and the 2km for ages 10 to 15.

While the 5km race is a shorter distance than the 20km Extreme Warrior run in Dubai in 2016, the former has been bolstered with special obstacles that will make it as challenging as ever.

Participants can expect such obstacles like The Warrior Zip, Marine Madness Zone, Walk the Plank and Chimey to greet them as they attempt to reach the finish line in one piece.

His Excellency Faisal Al Nuaimi, General Manager of the Ajman Tourism Development Department, said: “The emirate of Ajman offers a variety of activities for both leisure and business travellers and we are thrilled to promote the emirate as an ideal venue for events and conferences in support of Ajman’s Vision 2021.

Utilise the Warrior Discount until Thursday, with the entry free costing $96 for the Fearless course, $40 for the 2km and $29 for the 1km. After that, prices will rise to $107, $44 and $32 until race day.
