Dubai’s great adventure race is back to test participants in even more ways with the Rush-A-Way JLT Challenge.

This time, the popular event, which will take place on Saturday, January 25, will be all on foot, meaning there are no more cars to get you from place to place.

Despite 2GIS providing help with offline navigation, don’t expect it to be a walk in the park as teams of two will have to travel around the confines of Jumeirah Lake Towers.

The adrenaline-fuelled event will feature 10 challenges around JLT, with a grand prize on offer of Dh10,000. While the 10 challenges won’t be revealed beforehand, here’s a primer of what to expect: an obstacle course, acts to retrieve clues and racking your brain to solve riddles.

The challenges are designed to test competitors in various ways and require diverse skill sets to complete. You don’t have to be a genius or the most physically fit to be successful, but you will need to be a jack of all trades to show off your speed, accuracy, mental aptitude, fitness and teamwork.

Working together with your team-mate will be especially crucial as many of the obstacles will require both participants to get through. It’s a great way to build camaraderie between friends, co-workers and families.

Up to 150 teams will attempt to earn points based on their performance at each challenge. The location details of the next challenge will be given once teams complete the previous challenge.

Finally, the team with the highest total score at the finish line will earn the grand prize and earn the title of Rush-A-Way champions.

Don’t worry about being the first to cross the finish line as points, not pace, will determine the winning team.

Register online by visiting www.rushawayuae.com/jlt. Each member of the team must be at least 16 years old and no driving license is required.

The fee is Dh125 per person and will include a welcome kit goodie bag. Make sure to sign up as soon as possible before spots fill up fast.

See if you have what it takes to go up against other residents and prove your skills at the Rush-A-Way JLT Challenge.
