Hundreds will flock to Meydan, The Track Golf Club in Dubai on Friday (December 2) and you can still join them before Tuesday’s deadline.
Whether you’re an experienced runner or a beginner, there’s different distances to choose with 3, 5, 10 and 15km races all on the schedule.
To mark the occasion of UAE National Day, organisers Super Sports Events are inviting all participants to pin the flag to their gear or have their face painted with the best dressed athlete winning a fantastic prize.
Since launching, the series has gone from strength to strength with the season opener proving a huge hit as more than 600 took to the track.
With 2XU Compression on board as its new title sponsors, the organisers expects another big turn-out next weekend.
“The series has got off to an amazing start with over 800 runners at our first race this season and for Race Two, we have had a lot of interest from corporate and community-based groups wanting to bring groups of runners down and organise a friendly challenge amongst themselves,” said Warren Van Der Merwe, managing director of Super Sports Events.

There will also be chance for families to compete together for a discounted price.
“We will continue to offer discounted rates for groups as well as families wanting to participate as this is what the races are all about – bringing the family down and doing the race together,” he said.
Entry costs Dh150 for adults and Dh100 for juniors, which includes an electronic chip timer and a finisher’s medal.
With a few days to go, Van Der Merwe insists it will be a memorable and fun occasion.
“The Track have been amazing in supporting this event and Meydan Hotel have also offered some great prizes for competitors which include restaurant vouchers and brunch packages,” he said.
