Here’s your chance to see how fit you are in the all-new Armour Challenge where you could go home with some attractive merchandise.

The free two-part fitness event, is designed to inspire the UAE people to push themselves further through different forms of exercise which test speed, strength, agility and endurance.

Only 500 places are available for the Challenge Final on April 22 at The Beach in JBR. But with less than a week to go until registration closes on April 18, there’s still time to qualify.

At selected gyms in Dubai and Abu Dhabi or at home, participants must perform three drills – a push-up hold, burpee-jump-claps and broad jumps. These must be done continuously and in a total time of under three minutes.

Once completed, you can log your results at www.thearmourchallenge.ae and see where you are in the standings. With the leaderboard being updated constantly, you can track your record and see if you need to improve your time before the deadline.

Only the best will advance and will pit themselves against the UAE’s fittest through eight gruelling challenges on April 22, where Dh40,000 of Under Armour products are up for grabs. So far, it’s been a huge success since registration opened last month and it’s part of Under Armour’s drive in promoting a healthy lifestyle.

“Under Armour provides the gear and equipment athletes need to push through the toughest training sessions,” said Juraj Stiksa, CEO of Athlocity, Under Armour Middle East.

“With The Armour Challenge, we want to become an active part of the community by giving athletes that extra motivation to improve every day – to show them ‘you are the sum of all your training’.”

Local brand ambassador Grant Goes, who will oversee the Final Challenge, said: “This is an event much more inclusive to people. It’s a simple form of exercise and everyone can be involved.

“It’s open to all abilities and even if you don’t make the top 500, the participation counts.”
