Going Out: Wild Wadi Waterpark offers great entertainment for ladies all through the summer

April means it’s the time of the year when ladies can take over Wild Wadi once per week and cool down as the hot summer months approach.

Dubai’s popular water park is once again hosting Ladies’ Night every Thursday until September (excluding Ramadan), which means you can let loose in an environment specifically created for women, by women.

Located between the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Wild Wadi has all the rides and attractions – 30 to be exact – to keep you moving outdoors as the heat turns up.

For the sporty types, make sure to begin your day with the Wipeout and Riptide FlowRiders, offering the ultimate surfing experience that will make you feel as if you’re hanging ten out on the ocean.

By shooting more than seven tonnes of water per second to produce waves that are perfect for whatever you want to do on a board – whether that’s body-boarding, knee-boarding or surfing.

After getting a unique workout, there’s no better place to head than Juha’s Journey. The 360-metre long lazy river is ideal for kicking up your feet and floating away as you relax.

Taking it easy in water is great and all, but the main attraction of Wild Wadi is undoubtedly Jumeirah Sceirah, which is sure to take your breath away.

Hot spot: Former tennis world No1 Caroline Wozniacki has been one of many happy visitors.

The 32m tower has two tandem slides, which offer a view of the entire park from the top. Once you get in the capsule though, get ready for an adrenaline rush as the count- down brings you closer to the floor dropping beneath you, sending you down the slide at a speed of 80 kilometres an hour.

Want a ride to have the entire family together for some fun? Then check out Burj Surj, in which rid- ers are seated on a large tube and travel to a bowl before being spun off down the slide.

That’s not all, however. Other rides include Master Blasters, an aquatic roller coaster ride, Tantrum Alley, waterslides sending you into ‘tornadoes’, the wave pool of Breaker’s Bay and the kid-designed Dhow & Lagoon.

Admission for Ladies’ Night is Dh195 per person for those stand- ing 1.1m or above in height and Dh155 for those below 1.1m. Boys aged eight and under are also allowed to the park, but Wild Wadi’s staff will all be made up of women.
