Uruguay have given their fans plenty to cheer about at the World Cup after advancing to the quarter-finals by knocking out Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal in the last 16 with a 2-1 win.

Edinson Cavani netted twice as the Central Americans secured a meeting with France in the final eight of the tournament, with the match-up taking place on Friday.
