Trio ruled out of Man City’s Champions League clash at Lyon

Bernardo Silva, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled out of Manchester City‘s Champions League Group F clash at Lyon on Tuesday.

Playmaker Silva has not recovered from the knock which kept him out of Saturday’s victory at West Ham while midfielder Gundogan (foot) and striker Jesus (muscular) also have minor problems.

Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, left-back Benjamin Mendy (both knee) and goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (Achilles) remain on the long-term injury list.

Provisional squad: Ederson, Muric, Grimshaw, Danilo, Walker, Stones, Otamendi, Laporte, Kompany, Delph, Zinchenko, Foden, Diaz, Fernandinho, D Silva, Sane, Sterling, Mahrez, Aguero.
