Bayern Munich are through to the Champions League semi-finals after a 2-2 second leg draw at Benfica securing a 3-2 victory on aggregate.

Arturo Vidal’s 38th-minute goal cancelled out the hosts’ early lead through Raul Jimenez’s header, before Bayern added another goal through Thomas Mueller’s powerful finish.

Talisca’s late equaliser turned out to be a consolation goal, but Pep Guardiola was more than happy with his team’s progress, given the injury-enforced changes he had to make to the formation.
